Tom Perriello came out today and said that he has changed his mind on the Health Care from a No Vote to Undecided (which is political speak for yes). We need to cover him up making our feelings known!!!

LETS ALL CHIME IN AND PROVE TO THE WEAK KNEED SPONSORS THAT WE OUTNUMBER THE “COLOROFCHANGE.ORG” BUNCH, AND THE IMPACT OF OUR BOYCOTT WOULD VASTLY OVERCOME THIS GROUP. GEICO Cuts Ads from Glenn Beck’s Show

GEICO has agreed to no longer run its iconic car-insurance advertisements during the Glenn Beck Program, which broadcasts on the Fox News Channel cable network, the African-American advocacy organization ColorofChange.org said Wednesday.

The insurer, known for its ads featuring cavemen and a chatty gecko with a cockney accent, has joined a growing list of advertisers who are steering clear of Beck, a self-described “rodeo clown” and conservative commentator with a penchant for petulance and over-the-top criticism of President Barack Obama and other Democratic leaders.

Earlier this month, GEICO instructed its ad buyer “to redistribute its inventory of rotational spots” to other Fox-TV programs, ColorofChange said in a statement, citing an email received from GEICO. “As of August 4, GEICO no longer runs any paid advertising spots during Mr. Beck’s program,” the email read.

Among other sponsors who have pulled their ads from Beck’s show are household products companies Procter & Gamble (PG) and SC Johnson, and another insurer, Progressive Insurance (PGR), ColorofChange said. Progressive Insurance rep Cristy Cote said that the company wants to “avoid programming that we believe our customers and potential customers might find extremely offensive.”

The organization has been urging advertisers to boycott Beck’s show, which airs at 5 p.m. weeknights, for what it calls Beck’s hateful rhetoric, including comments he made about Obama being ‘”a racist” who “has a deep-seated hatred for white people.” Critics say that Beck stirs up division and hatred and feeds misinformation to his audience in an emotional, entertaining way, which, unfortunately, is taken seriously. A recent example includes Beck inspiring anti-health care reform protesters to disrupt town hall meetings.

The Fox News Channel, generally, is known for its conservative stance and its criticism of liberal leaders throughout the government, including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid. The network is a subsidiary of News Corp. (NWS), run by media-mogul Rupert Murdoch. News Corp.’s other holdings include The Wall Street Journal, a publication renowned for its conservative editorial stances.

ColorofChange founder James Rucker announced GEICO’s decision in a column published on HuffingtonPost.com on Wednesday afternoon.

ColorofChange is hoping to enlist more people in its effort to pull ads from Beck’s show. To date, it said, 75,000 members of the organization have signed a petition asking executives at specific companies to drop their support for the show.

In his column today, Rucker asked supporters outside the organization to also sign the petition.

Barack Obama’s brownshirts are after Glenn Beck.

We can’t let them win. If they win with Beck, they’ll be emboldened to go after even more people.

A while back, Glenn Beck called Barack Obama a “racist.” Given all the terrorists, thugs, and racists Barack Obama has chosen as close personal friends (see e.g. Rev. Wright), it’s not a stretch to say it.

In fact, Obama’s Green Jobs Czar, the convicted felon and [Editor's Note: I actually find this on blogs, but haven't found it on a real news site, so I'm striking] self-declared communist Van Jones, has direct ties to the organization that’s trying to shut down Glenn Beck. Jones’s group has hired a big Hollywood PR firm and they are pressuring Glenn’s advertisers to stop advertising. If not, they’ll lead a boycott.

We need to strike back and boycott these groups for ditching Beck. If they are going to fold so easily in the face of Obama brownshirts, we must push back. If not, who’ll be next?

Here’s the list of the groups that have boycotted Glenn Beck. Let them know you disagree. Let them know you will boycott them for kowtowing to Barack Obama’s worshippers, brownshirts, goons, and thugs.

Senatorial Visit – August 14th Recap

Hi Franklin County Patriots,

A big THANK YOU to all who turned out today at Senator Warner’s and Webb’s office. I was very pleased to see so many new faces. I think our visit spoke volumes and I hope the next time there is a call to action even more will join us. We appreciated the Roanoke Tea Party patriots joining with us. Thanks so much!

We were about 30 people strong, articulate, to the point, polite yet spirited in sharing our anger over government interference and its violation of our Constitution. Here are some of the sentiments that were shared with the senatorial staff:

~ “I work for an insurance company and I am seeing and hearing alot of lies and they are coming from politicians.”

~ “I have never attended these meetings or rallies before but I came out today because I am fearful of government’s interference with private industry.”

~ “The government has not business interfering in our health care. It is an affront and an abomination to us that this government would have anything to do with our health

care, our freedoms and our abilities to take responsibility for our own health care and to act on behalf of our own good.”

~ “Instead of dumping the rest of us into a broken system, why not find ways to fix the problem without government control.”

~ “Mark Warner, don’t support any version of the Health Care Reform bill and if you do, you better be willing to come under it yourself!”

~ “Quit paying off lobbyists, ACORN and special interest groups!”

~ “Government has a horrendous record for mismanagment that will put small businesses out of business and put us all in a third world care system.”

I wish I could remember all the great points that were made by those who came out to express their concerns. It was stimulating and exciting. I wish more could have been apart of this. The staff members worked hard taking notes trying to capture key points that were being fired at them. I don’t think they have ever had to face something like this before in their political careers. They assured us that our concerns would be communicated to the Senators and that a reply would be forth coming.

I will share any reply from our senators that I receive.

Again, thank you to those who took the time to let your voice be heard! Your presence spoke loud and clear - “DON’T TREAD ON ME!”
