Another Incumbent falls!

Let’s all see this as a “shape of the things to come” night.

The longest serving (and I was that word loosely, I my opinion Spector has served no one but himself for quite a while) in Pennsylvania history is no more!!

Spector thought he had escaped this kind of fate by switching parties from Republican to Democratic in 2009. That move wasn’t too worrisome to a lot of people as Spector made no bones about being a RHINO anyway. But he truly didn’t think this would happen.

The polictial machine of the White House (Obama), The VP, Biden and even PA’s governor couldn’t keep humpty-Dumpty Spector from falling off the wall!

Oh and by the way Biden, THIS IS A BIG DEAL!! (I won’t use his words as they are truly unbecoming and certainly unprofessional to say the least but more importantly not Christian).

The new democratic Senate candidate from PA. Sestak, is somewhat of a conservative Democrat, especially on foreign and military policy. Some say his primary win may actually be a boon for the Republican come November.

Spector made no bones about the fact that he switched parties solely to insure re-election and a get ticket back to Washington. This had been conveyed more than once in press conferences, so “he could avoid a primary fight with Republican Pat Toomey”. Instead the voters of PA. Gave Spector a One-Way ticket home.

It had been rumored that if Sestak would pull out of the race he would be given a “high-level government position”.

This again shows that this administration will stop at nothing to advance their agenda.

PA. Governor Ed Rendell said that he “Had never seen such a level of anti-incumbent sediment” Gee Ed …. What were expecting, this administration, your party and the bulk of those presently in Congress are driving this country in the ground!! And WE THE PEOPLE ARE NOT GOING ALONG FOR THE RIDE!!!

The following is taken from an email that Ed Clark sent out over the weekend.

When he announced that he raised $600,000 in the first fund raising quarter of 2010, Perriello made a big deal of getting donations from all 22 localities in his district. That may be true, but a closer look at where his donations came from tells a rather revealing story about Perriello’s support.

Perriello’s announcement didn’t reveal that forty percent of his campaign contributions come from outside Virginia . And of his in-state donations, 66% come from one area: Charlottesville . Here are the top metro areas for Perriello’s donors:

               Charlottesville $251,158

               DC area $ 86,825

               New York $ 77,503

               Roanoke $ 18,947

               Tidewater area $ 15,966

Why is so much money is pouring in to Perriello from these areas? Maybe it is because he represents the interests of left-wing donors from places like DC, New York , and Tidewater more than he does the people Lynchburg , Bedford , Danville , and the rest of the Fifth District outside of liberal Charlottesville . His donors like that he votes with Nancy Pelosi over 90% of the time. We don’t. Let’s let him know how much we don’t like it by voting him out of office in November.

Now for a couple of my personal comments: This totals $450,399.00. Of that amount, $199,241.00 or 44.24% came from outside the district (Remember Roanoke is not in our district) and finally of the $450,300.00 $164,328.00 or 36.48% was from outside the State!! (Remember DC is not part of Virginia). This just tells me that Perriello is bought and paid for by the K street lobbyists. I understand that all candidates get money from organizations/businesses that have interests in our district and that may have addresses outside the district. but this reeks!!

We have to get the word out that Perriello does not represent the interests of our district, where we live and work. Not when ALMOST HALF of his contributions come from outside our little corner of the world!

You can examine Perriello’s campaign funding here:

http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/summary.php?cycle=2010&cid=N00029339&type=I

A message to all members of 9-12 March on Washington

I just wanted to send a quick note of thanks to all of you for working so hard to make the 9-12 March on Washington a big success! We here at FreedomWorks were blown away by the turnout, the energy and the patience you all displayed. Looking out across the west lawn of the capitol, down Pennsylvania Avenue and the Mall, was something I will never forget. You all just kept coming from Freedom Plaza, from Union Station and from the Mall to join the crowd already gathered at the capitol.

We were able to bring together hundreds of thousands of patriotic Americans in one place, at one time, with one voice. Our message was “Don’t Tread on Me!” We were heard loud and clear on Saturday, and the folks on Capitol Hill were talking about you all, yesterday and today. They couldn’t believe the size of the crowd, nor the excitement and energy that filled the west front of the capitol. I had one of our allies on the Hill email hundreds of staffers the pictures and videos from the protest.

And I told them all that if their bosses vote the right way going forward, you will know it and appreciate it. But I told them that if their bosses vote the wrong way, you will know it and make them feel the heat. I explained to the staffers that this was a real, growing movement for liberty in America, and that no one party, no one organization and no one person was in charge of it. This is a grassroots movement that will continue to roll like a tidal wave across the country, and it cannot be stopped.

Keep up the great work out there, whether you are in Santa Monica, Denver, Des Moines, Omaha or Philadelphia. If you continue to build your organizations at the local level, and connect with others around you, together we can build “a force more powerful” that will rival any mass social movement in American history. God bless each one of you for your sacrifices to come to Washington on that historic day. This will be remembered as the day We The People saved our republic.
